VIP visits to Nether Edge

Recently we've been delighted to welcome a number of VIPs to our school!

Last week, Councillor Tom Hunt (Leader of Sheffield City Council) and Councillor Dawn Dale (Cabinet Member for Education, Children and Families), along with Neil Miley and our new Chair of Governors, Mark Rusling.

This week, the school also had the pleasure of hosting Abtisam Mohamed, MP for Sheffield Central.

The purpose of these visits was to tour the school, including our SRP (Specialist Resource Provision), meet the children, and learn more about the fantastic work we’re doing at Nether Edge. It also provided an opportunity to discuss our priorities as a school and within our trust, and how they might be able to support us in achieving our goals.

A highlight of the visits was the children-led tours, where our visitors were impressed by the calm atmosphere throughout the school and the depth of knowledge and care displayed by the children.
