Nether Edge Primary School is passionate about and committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. We expect all staff and visitors to share this committment. We are fully committed to ensuring that consistent effective safeguarding procedures are in place to support families, children and staff at school. All concerns are passed through the members of staff who are trained as 'Designated Child Protection Officers' in school in compliance with the 'sharing of information' guidance.

The Designated Safeguarding Lead is Ms Homaira Ibrahim. She is supported by a large team of Deputy Child Protection Lead Officers (CPLO's). These are:

Mrs Michele Nott (Headteacher)

Miss Natalie Bradshaw (Deputy Headteacher)

Ms Sara Ahmed (Assistant Headteacher)

Mr Liam Morris (PE Lead)

Nether Edge primary School also has a designated Link Governor with a responsibility for safeguarding out children-Mrs Collette Rehman.

If you have any serious concerns about your child or any other pupil at Nether Edge Primary school, please do not hesitate to contact Ms Homaira Ibrahim who knows who to contact for the best advice and help and is experienced in using the appropriate degree of confidentiality.

Nether Edge Primary School has a robust policy in place for ensuring the well being of our children. The policy underpins our practice and values shared by every member of staff in school.
