Religious Education

Our children enjoy learning about the major world religions.

Through experiencing and studying religious festivals and key religious events, we promote the virtues of respect and empathy, which are important in our diverse society.

Developing a deeper understanding of people and places is at the core of our geography curriculum.

'River Deep, Mountain High' develops geographical skills through children using field skills, maps and technology to explore their local environment and the wider world.

'Digging up the Past' is part of our curriculum that is rich in developing the skills of a historian.

Whether that's children in Reception playing with Victorian toys, asking questions and making comparisons OR Y5 experiencing what it would really have been like for a child working down the pit when disaster struck, first and second hand experience is essential.
