Art, Music, Dance and Drama

Visual art forms part of our curriculum at different points throughout the year. Children explore a range of media through different topics such as line drawings of Victorian buildings around Sheffield and colour mixing to show the chameleon from The Chameleon who Changes Colour.

Children also respond to the works of different artists.

Children enjoy the links between ICT and music through the CHARANGA music scheme that we use throughout school. Rhythm, song, instruments can be heard throughout school!

Children all have the opportunity to learn to play the cornet. Those showing particular talent or interest have the opportunity to take this further as they move through school.

We also take part in 'Young Voices' at the Sheffield Arena every year where we sing with thousands of other children!

IT plays a big part in our dance curriculum too! We use iMoves to get moving and grooving to, exploring a range of different dance and music styles.

Usually linked to writing and reading, drama provides opportunities for children to explore different characters and themes within stories.

Children are involved in a range of performances, including our Christmas Spectacular!
