Year 3 Yorkshire Museum Trip

Trip to Yorkshire Museum for Roman Workshops

09/02/2017

Dear Parents and Carers,

On Friday the 3rd of March, Year 3 will be visiting the Yorkshire Museum in York to attend a full day of workshops on The Romans, Exploring Eboracum and The Life of a Legionary. This coming term we will be studying all aspects of Roman life in Britain and will be an extremely valuable trip for your child’s learning. During the term, the Romans will also provide a stimulus for your child’s writing as they write reports and diary entries recounting aspects of Roman life and the revolt of the Celts led by Bouddicca.

We will be leaving the school by coach at 8:30

The workshops start at 10.00

Workshops finishes at 14.00

Returning to school from the museum at 16:30.

The cost of the trip is £20. Please send the payment, along with the attached slip into school as soon as possible. Please ask if you have any questions. Packed lunch will be required and will be eaten on site in the Museum’s lunchroom

Many thanks,

The Year 3 team
